Each portion is billed separately under the 2026 Ontario Dental Association Suggested Fee Guide, which is why two appointments can have different totals even when nothing is wrong. Typical ranges for the most common services are:

- Recall exam (existing patient): about $50 to $90
- Specific or limited exam for a single concern: about $55 to $80
- Scaling and polishing, per 15-minute unit: about $70 to $90 (most adults need one to three units)

Fairmont Dental Centre is a Canadian Dental Care Plan participating provider. Under the CDCP Dental Benefits Guide, the following preventive and diagnostic services are covered for eligible patients:

- Scaling, polishing, and topical fluoride
- Bitewing and select intraoral radiographs
- Tooth-coloured and amalgam fillings on permanent and primary teeth
- Sealants on permanent molars for children
Co-payments are 0% for adjusted family net incomes under $70,000, 40% from $70,000 to $79,999, and 60% from $80,000 to $89,999. Some services, including extra scaling units beyond the annual cap and certain pediatric treatments, may require pre-authorization. Our team submits CDCP claims directly so most patients leave knowing exactly what, if anything, is owed.

The Canadian Dental Association and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario recommend visit schedules based on individual risk, not a fixed calendar. As general guidance:
