This a genuinely lovely team of people that work here. Everyone made me feel right at home, right away. our dentist saw me for my first visit and she’s so personable! You can tell she knows her skill inside and out, but she’s also a really NICE young person with a personality beyond dentistry. I’m really looking forward to coming back ❤️

Came in with a dental emergency and they were able to see me right away. From start to finish everyone was amazing and understanding. They have gained a new permanent client and I recommend them 100%!

The clinic is amazing, im a mom of 2 and hygiene is very important to me, this clinic is so clean, modern and kid friendly, they offer kids tablets to play with and shows to watch while getting their work done. our dentist is the kindest Dentist I’ve ever met and is so patient with kids. I’m so happy I came to this clinic.

Invisalign uses a sequence of custom-fitted clear aligners to move teeth in small, controlled steps. It works well for teens and adults with mild to moderate crowding, spacing, rotated teeth, and many common bite concerns including some Class II and Class III cases, deep bite, open bite, and crossbite. More complex orthodontic problems, skeletal discrepancies, or cases that require significant tooth extraction may be better served by fixed braces or a combined approach. We will tell you honestly at the consultation if Invisalign is not the right tool for your case, and refer where appropriate.

A typical journey at Fairmont Dental Centre looks like this:

  1. Consultation (60 minutes): records appointment with photos, a digital iTero intraoral scan, and a panoramic radiograph when needed. We discuss your goals, what is realistic, alternatives, expected duration, and a written fee estimate.
  2. Treatment planning (1 to 3 weeks): we map your tooth movements with the ClinCheck software, refine attachments and interproximal reduction as needed, and review the 3D simulation with you before approving the plan and ordering aligners.
  3. Aligner delivery (30 to 45 minutes): we bond small tooth-coloured attachments, hand over your first sets of trays, and coach you on insertion, removal, cleaning, and wear time.
  4. Check-ins every 6 to 10 weeks: short visits to monitor tracking, deliver the next batch of aligners, and adjust where needed. Most adult cases take 6 to 18 months; teen cases vary with growth.
  5. Refinement and retention: a refinement scan near the end of active treatment is common and is usually included. Once teeth are in their final position we remove attachments, polish, and fit retainers.

Cost, Insurance, Daily Wear and Long-Term Care

Aligners only work when you wear them. We ask for 20 to 22 hours of wear per day, removed for meals, snacks, and any drink other than water, then brushed before reinserting. Most patients change to a new set every 7 to 10 days based on their tracking, with a soft-edge feel for the first 24 to 48 hours of each tray. Realistic short-term effects include mild speech adaptation in the first week, transient pressure when starting a new tray, and occasional gum or cheek irritation if an attachment edge needs smoothing. Skipping wear time is the single biggest reason treatment runs long, so consistency matters more than perfection.

For 2026 in Ontario, comprehensive Invisalign treatment commonly falls in the $5,000 to $8,500 range at general dental offices, with simpler limited cases (Invisalign Express or Lite) often $3,500 to $5,500, and complex cases occasionally above $8,500. Teen cases are usually priced similarly to adult comprehensive cases. Our fees include the records appointment, all planned aligners, in-office check-ins, attachments, IPR if needed, and a first set of clear retainers. Standard refinements within the active treatment window are included; additional refinement courses after the case is finalized are quoted separately. Many private dental plans include an orthodontic benefit of 50 percent up to a lifetime maximum of $1,500 to $3,000 per insured person; Invisalign is treated the same as braces under most plans. We submit a pre-determination to your insurer before you commit so you know your out-of-pocket cost in writing. The Canadian Dental Care Plan does not currently cover orthodontic treatment, though it does cover many of the preventive and restorative visits you will still need during aligner therapy. Interest-free payment plans are available for most cases over a typical 12 to 24 month schedule.

Retention is part of the treatment, not an afterthought. Teeth have a natural tendency to drift, so we provide clear retainers and ask you to wear them full-time for the first three months, then nights only long-term. Plan for retainer replacement roughly every 2 to 3 years depending on wear. Our team will see you for a complimentary post-treatment review at 6 and 12 months to confirm your result is holding. To start the conversation, call (519) 451-4490 or email info@fairmontdental.ca and we will book a consultation with our dentist or another member of our experienced team.

Frequently asked questions

Invisalign FAQs

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

Most adult cases take 12–18 months; teen cases vary. Your dentist will give you a treatment-length estimate at your consultation.

Is Invisalign painful?

Most patients feel mild pressure or tenderness for a day or two when switching to a new aligner set. The discomfort is much less than traditional braces.

How much does Invisalign cost in London, ON?

Cost depends on case complexity and aligner count. We provide a written quote after your consultation and offer payment options.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

Most adult comprehensive cases run 6 to 18 months. Limited cases (Invisalign Express or Lite) can finish in 3 to 6 months. Teen cases vary with growth. Wear time of 20 to 22 hours per day is the single biggest factor in finishing on schedule.

How much does Invisalign cost in London, Ontario in 2026?

Comprehensive Invisalign typically runs $5,000 to $8,500 at general dental offices in Ontario, with limited cases starting around $3,500. We provide a written estimate after your consultation and submit a pre-determination to your insurer so you know your out-of-pocket cost before you commit.

Does insurance or CDCP cover Invisalign?

Many private dental plans with orthodontic benefits cover 50 percent up to a lifetime maximum of $1,500 to $3,000; Invisalign is treated the same as traditional braces under most plans. The Canadian Dental Care Plan does not currently cover orthodontic treatment, though it does cover many of your routine and restorative visits during treatment.

Can I eat and drink with Invisalign in?

Remove your aligners for meals, snacks, and any drink other than plain water, then brush before reinserting. Hot drinks can warp the trays and dark drinks can stain them, so removing them protects both your teeth and your investment in treatment.

What happens if I lose an aligner?

Call us as soon as possible. Depending on where you are in the sequence, we will usually have you move forward to the next tray, go back to your previous one, or order a replacement. Acting quickly prevents teeth from drifting and keeps your timeline on track.

Will I need to wear a retainer after Invisalign?

Yes. Retainers are part of treatment, not optional. We fit clear retainers when active treatment finishes and ask for full-time wear for the first three months, then nights only long-term. Plan for retainer replacement every 2 to 3 years based on wear.
